WITH LOVE SHAHJAHAN....

This piece is a scene... or perhaps a drama... a conversation between Shahjahan and his son Aurangzeb
Historical facts are not tempered in this drama( or scene or whatever).. and this is completely, originally
my creation ( as like all of my previous blog...) all those who r not aware of historical facts there is also an
introduction below...  ( and congrates about TAJ MAHAL...)

INTRODUCTION

(The four sons of the Mughal Emperor , Shah Jahan, all laid claim to the throne
when their father fell seriously ill in 1658.....

Aurangzeb goverend deccan at dat time.., He with his administrative and military skills
defeated all his brother... by hook or by crook....

Aurangzeb prisoned his own father in the red fort in agra from where the TAJ MAHAL was(is) clearly
visible...

Aurangzeb was a cruel ruler... who dint believe in his great grand father's(Akbar's) policy of Hindu
muslim unity. Aurangzeb only wanted to extend his empire and hated all kind of art whether it is music or architecture

He hated his father's extravagant creations.. including Taj mahal... he thought that this was a waste of money..
he also hated Shahjahan coz Shahjahan as a conqueror was defeated in many wars and that brought the whole of
"HINDUSTAAN KI SALTANAT" in financial crisis), so he imprisoned his own father

SCENE 1: ( A 70 YEARS OLD SHAHJAHAN is lying in a bed with his eyes shut.. in a small room. In the room there are

          all things which he have to use for religious activities.. at the top of the shelf...
 
          there is a window in front of SHAHJAHAN.. from there the TAJ MAHAL is visible...

          he rarely put his eyes away from taj mahal... but as he has his eyes shut he is not seeing taj)
 
A messenger comes and says: HINDUSTAAN KE SHAHANSHAH... SHAHJAHAN ALAMGIR ( world conqueror) is coming..

         ( he shouts to make everyone alert... Shahjahan wakes up..)
         ( Aurangzeb comes.... greets his father...)

    shahjahan without waisting time..asked him in anger..

SHAHJAHAN: Why did u behead DARA.. He was your elder brother...???
           And why d hell u send his head to me...( crying loudly)..
           He was my most loving son...
           u r cruel.... u killed ur own brother and presented his head to ur father..

           ( The great mughal "sHAHJAHAN" was crying..I THINK every romantic and artistic person is emotional as well..)

AURANGZEB: Everything is fare in war... everyone did this.. even "ASOKA" did this..
           what matters is that u have to extend and protect your empire..

           and father... ( with a hint of anger ..) what u did.. except loosing wars and waisting money..
           
           U dint know how to rule a great country like india.. u r place i m sorry is here only.. father..
          
           U will die seeing another of ur waistage.. Taj Mahal..

SHAHJAHAN: Asoka dint kill his real brothers..
           
           And what you call a wastage is my dream, my passion,  my world, my day , my night,my love for ur mother...

AURANGZEB: World will not remember  a stupid rulers love.. and his madness..

            what world will remember is VICTORY... wars, Conquerors  like me.. like we remember  SIKANDER( ALEXANDER)..

SHAHJAHAN: The TIME WILL DECIDE THE FATE...

           WORLD will always remeber love.. and always had.. right from d days of ADAM and EVE..

           I know what I have created is and will be a tribute not only to ARJUMAND (popularly known as MUmtaz Mahal)
 
           but TAJ is a tribute to love.. ,tribute to lovers, love dat never dies, love which is beyond the boundaries

           of time...

        (SHAHJAHAN stood up with difficulty..went to dat window with tears.. may be tears of happiness, may be tears
        of his love.. may be tears of sadness..
        facing his back towards AURANGZEB and face towards taj.. and said with a throat full of emotions)

SHAHJAHN : I  know what i have created may be a wastage  of money for some...

          what i have created may be said as a mad man's creation..

          BUT I know one thing.. What i have created.. May not be a miracle..

          BUT ITS A WONDER..

          I KNOW  one day.. world full of warriors and conquerors

          world full of wars and extremisms..

          will remember this mad, looser mughal's creation..

          will remember this as a tribute for love..

          will remember this as A WONDER OF THE WORLD.....

( AURANGZEB laughed sheepishly and went back...

  SHAHJAHAN died in the same room .. some says AURAngzeb killed him.. some says he died naturally

  but at d time of his death.. his eyes were not shut his eyes were seeing THE TAJ MAHAL..

  We hope his eyes are still watching TAJ...

  AND NOW WE KNOW THAT SHAHJAHAN WAS RIGHT..

  WORLD will always remeber love.. and always had..)
